Below are ways you can get involved in 2017
Not all positions require you to be on the Committee and you may be able to fill 1, 2 or maybe even 3 different roles in the club.

CLUB REPRESENTATIVE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 2017

PRESIDENT x 1
Attract new and retain existing club sponsors for 2017 and ensure committee and club by in to eliminate sole responsibility of new sponsors
Assist recruiting panel as necessary with advice on club position regarding payments and/or employment/housing opportunities
Attend AFLC meetings as required and provide feedback to committee
Work with key stakeholders from Women & Junior clubs to further strengthen ties, to the point we are 1 club
Work with committee in preparation for up-coming season in off field key decisions and support as required on field requirements
Ensure player contracts are available and correct for recruitment manager to issue
Assist committee in setting up and implementing new KPI’s for the club to ensure excellence is achieved
Follow up on possible training and skill enhancement courses for committee members & coaching staff
Promote and uphold club ethics and ethos at all times
Oversee club roles and responsibilities and assist as required

VICE PRESIDENT x 2
As above
Assist President with workload during preseason and playing season in a job sharing role
Prepare to become next club President and learn what is required for the next step

SECRETARY x 1
Working closely with above to ensure club legality and morality requirements are met
Data collection and reconciliation requirements with Treasurer
Club registrar for all things requiring data collection
Preparation of club notes, governing body requirements and other club documentation as needed
Update and retainment/consolidation of meeting minutes
Collection and data capture of club player agreements & registrations with Treasurer

TREASURER x 1 & ASSISTANT
Sole responsibility of club financial records up to date reports and reconciliation
All club banking and monetary requirements
Working with Secretary in collection of player registration fees and data collection
All club invoicing requirements and player payments, including registrar needs
Presentation to committee of updated financial reports for meetings
Float responsibility as required for home games and Thursday nights
Direct liaison with AFLC Treasurer
Prepare club reports for AGM/EOY as required
Presentation of books to auditors as required

SPONSORSHIP/GRANTS CO-ORDINATOR x 1
Actively pursue opportunities for potential grants
Assist the committee in obtaining prospective sponsors
Develop packages to present to potential sponsors
Maintain log on sponsor approach and response
Assist players in obtaining potential player sponsors
Work with social committee in co-ordination of sponsor function
Align with Indigenous liaison officers on approach for potential player/Club grants

CLUB CHALLENGE CO-ORDINATOR x 1
Responsible for the AFLC club challenge spread sheet and ensuring all parties understand their respective requirements, from the President to the players and all in between
Club charity - responsibility of organisation and co-ordination for game day charity match and any other charity opportunities that fit the club ethic
Working with Secretary in the Issue of club sponsorship & player passes

WEBSITE/SOCIAL MEDIAL ADMINISTRATOR x 1
MHAFC web page redesign and updating with required information
MHAFC Facebook administrator and general “go to” for social media updates as authorised by club executive
Club weekly notes and communications thru social media with sponsors/members/players/AFLC
Working closely with the AFLC Club challenge co-ordinator to ensure social media requirements are met

GENERAL COMMITTEE x 15
Assist club executive as required in general club support functions as requested
Home day BBQ and bar set up/pack up
Home game BBQ and Bar service in rotation with other committee members
Game day assistance as required (fill water bottles, ice tanks, etc)
Club function set up/pack up and assistance in running bar/food/entertainment
Training night assistance (water bottles, ice, fetch ball etc)
Commitment to club code of conduct and preach what we stand for, always promoting club core values and goals
Away game assistance as required (water bottles, ice, etc)
Assistance to executive in membership fee collection
Directly support in sponsorship opportunities

GAME DAY MANAGER x 2
Ensure all game day requirements are met, includes but not limited to;
Game/practice Balls
Water tanks & bottles
Medical kit
Playing Apparel/Jumpers
Fruit & lollies
Umpire escort
Goal post pad erection & recovery at home games

CLEANER x 2
Responsible for the cleaning of Hawks Bar, includes bins & floors
After match grand stand clean up and emptying of bins
Change room and HAWKS Bar toilet cleanliness
Footpaths and area outside the direct entrance of HAWKS Bar
Guernsey washing for all 3 grades

TEAM MANAGER x 3 (colts, Reserve, Senior)
Ensure each respective team has 3 x water runners & 2 x message runners
Assist game day manager to ensure all is prepared as required
Team sheets to be completed and submitted on time as required
Playing Guernsey issue and after game collection
All necessary paper work on game day to be submitted and collected

PROPERTY MANAGER x 1
Playing apparel orders in conjunction with executive
Club apparel orders in conjunction with executive
Issue and data collection of all playing uniform apparel issued to players, short/socks
Issue and data collection of all club polo/singlet issue to players, supporters/sponsors
Inventory data collection of ALL club assets
Football order issue for practice & game days
Assist Secretary/Treasurer in registration data collection and player sponsorships
Responsibility of strapping tape purchase and issue

RECRUITMENT MANAGER (RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE?)
Working closely with coaching staff on identification of player recruitment opportunities
Reporting directly to Executive on possible player opportunities
Due diligence report on each prospective recruit
Player agreement sign off for each club player, current & new (working with Secretary)
Retainment of current playing roster
Identification of possible recruits that club executive need to be informed that may want payments
Uphold the club ethos and ethics at all times and always go for quality people over quality players,

BAR MANAGER x 2
Responsible for bar stock levels for both down stairs and during home games/functions
Ordering of stock as required
Management of bar cash register and float
Working closely with Treasurer to ensure monetary requirements and banking deadlines are met
Management of bar at all times and meeting of liquor licensing requirements
Cleanliness of bar area and surrounds

FOOD MANAGER x 2
Food ordering for home games & preparation off food on a roster with committee
Pre home game food preparation (salad rolls, pies, etc)
Function food ordering, if required preparation on roster with committee
Thursday night meal food ordering & preparation on roster with committee

INDIGENOUS LIAISON OFFICER x 2
Investigate and follow up of any opportunity of obtaining government grants for club and players
Interaction with club executive on welfare and well-being of indigenous club players and officials
Assist recruitment committee with possible indigenous players that have been identified as potential recruits and supply report on each player
Working closely with Treasurer in player registration payment and if required a potential payment plan for all players of the club
Plan and execute “Indigenous Round” thyme with assistance from club indigenous players and officials
Input on design for indigenous round playing Guernsey
Assistance, support & guidance for indigenous players/officials as and when required

TIME KEEPER x 2
Time keep at all home and away fixtures
Ensure correct paper work and data is kept and supplied to AFLC as required
Training on Cazaly’s score board use and operation is required

GATE KEEPER x 2
Collection of entry fees at Cazaly’s and Tills St Entrances
Working with Treasurer to ensure floats are as required
Return of collection to Treasurer after completion
